Faculty
The Academy has been able to attract many faculty members with advanced degrees in their areas of expertise, many with significant teaching experience in a variety of academic settings, and many with applied experience in the business world. Thus, the Academy is able to provide depth in subject areas ranging from Mathematics to Art History.
At the Academy, faculty members assume responsibility for the multi-year education of children. As a result, they are able to develop a long term relationship with students, can build upon prior year instruction, and are invested in student success over the long term.
The Academy supports the faculty by providing substantial planning time within the schedule to support lesson planning, foster professional development, and prevent burn-out. Faculty members are responsible for approximately 20 hours per week of classroom instruction. The rest of their time is dedicated to professional development, curriculum development and planning, student work assessment, interaction with students and parents, and participation in administrative meetings.
