Student Class Schedules
Please follow these steps to log on to your PowerSchool Parent account, where you can find your student's 2023-24 schedule.
1) From a web browser, go to amsacs.powerschool.com.
2) Under Parent Sign in, enter the credentials you created (or follow the steps to create a new account if you have not done so yet).
3) You will see a message about needing a verification email. Click the link to resend the verification email, and it will come through.
4) Click on the link in the verification email, and it will bring you back to the sign in screen again, this time with a message saying your account has been verified. You will then be able to login with your username and password or use the mobile app if you prefer.
Your student should have received their student account access yesterday. If they cannot get into their account they can email ITDepartment@amsacs.org for help.
Uniforms
AMSA uniform clothing can purchased at Lands End. Go to: https://www.landsend.com/
In addition, AMSA has partnered with US Sports and Apparel to provide our families with uniform purchase options other than Land's End. All apparel includes AMSA's required logo at no additional charge. Here is the link to the store: AMSA Uniform Store-US Sports & Apparel
AMSA requires its students to wear uniforms. It is the family’s responsibility to provide a full Academic and Physical Education uniform for each student who attends AMSA. Families who demonstrate financial need should contact AMSA's Business Manager, Liana McLaren, for information about financial assistance with uniform purchasing at l.mclaren@amsacs.org.
Find more information on the Uniforms webpage, the Uniform Basics guide and the Uniforms poster.
Calendars
Payments
MySchoolBucks -- Use to pay/register for clubs, field trips, fundraisers, school invoices, PSAT, and more.
School Store -- Use to pay for regional bus transportation.
MealManage -- Use to pay for AMSA lunches.
More information about these payment websites can be found here including sign-up instructions.
Financial assistance is available. Please click here to see AMSA's Financial Assistance Policy and how to apply.
Class Dues
We are now moving towards a class dues model rather than collecting money for individual dress-down days. The annual class dues will be used when your student becomes a senior and will be applied to student graduation costs.
For example, our seniors have never had to pay for their graduation caps and gowns, diplomas, or any other miscellaneous graduation costs that most other high schools require their seniors to pay. In the past, AMSA has collected $1.00 for each dress-down day for these purposes. Moving forward, all students will pay annual class dues of $30.
This fee is payable on MySchoolBucks* and invoices will be sent out shortly for this fee. This fee will be waived for families who qualify for financial assistance. The fee is due by October 1st.
MySchoolBucks instructions here.

Lunch Program
Lunches for 2023-2024 School Year
Aug/Sept Lunches – Aug 29-31 Menu Sept Menu – Deadline to order: midnight Aug 22
Lunches are held in both the Lower School (grades 6-8) and the Upper School (grades 9-12) cafeterias. All meals are provided by our catering vendor, Catering Options. They offer THREE selections each day. The daily meal price is $5.10. Their current menu will include a hot entrée, a vegetarian entrée, and a sandwich or salad alternating selection. Every meal comes with milk and fresh fruit. Your student may also purchase any additional milk during lunch sessions.
Should your child be out sick for a day, and would like their sandwich or salad meal held, please email the Food Services Supervisor, Ann DiMarco, at adimarco@amsacs.org. She will hold it until the next school day. We will need to know which grade level your child is in since we will refrigerate the meal for them. Your child can enjoy their cold meal the following day. No absentee meals are held at AMSA unless you notify us before the lunches begin that day. AMSA is not licensed to reheat or cook foods. Please ensure that your child has everything they may need to eat a lunch from home. (Example: thermos, napkins and utensils)
In the event of an emergency closing (snow day), paid meals will be credited to your account. Please ensure that our nursing office is aware of any food allergies your student may have. Catering Options is a nut-free facility.
Ordering Lunches
AMSA lunches are pre-ordered a month ahead online at www.mealmanage.com. You will receive email notifications when each month's menu is open for ordering. We are not able to add-on orders after the designated cut-off. You can view, download, and print your lunch orders from your MealManage account.
For guides and videos on how to use MealManage, go to www.mealmanage.com/faq.php.
Free and Reduced Price Lunches
If you believe that your family is eligible for free/reduced priced lunches, please complete an application (see blue box at right) and return it to AMSA as soon as possible. You may either drop it off at the front desk or mail it to the following address (please do not email):
AMSA Charter School
201 Forest Street
Marlborough MA 01752
Attn: Lunch Program
Please clearly write on the envelope: CONFIDENTIAL – Open by Lunch Program Only
This application must be completed in entirety with proof of income attached. You will be charged for any lunches ordered until you have been approved for free/reduced lunches.
Every family must reapply each new school year. You will receive an approval/denial letter. The reduced or free lunch account will be managed through our lunch program. If approved, your account will be set up accordingly, and you will be reimbursed for any meals ordered for August/September after the application approval process is completed.
Note: Families who qualify for free or reduced price lunches also automatically qualify for discounts on other AMSA costs such as uniforms, field trips, and athletics. See the Financial Assistance Policy for details.

You can now connect online with other AMSA families at an exclusive AMSA carpool webpage to create carpools for taking kids to/from school, extracurricular activities, and events. There is no cost to you for this service.
Dropping Off and Picking Up Students
All traffic (except for senior parking) must enter at 165 Forest St., drive around the perimeter of the campus to reach parking areas and drop-off/pick-up zones, and exit at Fore Kicks. You will no longer be able to drive through the center of campus. Please see the new AMSA Campus Map and Driving Directions.
Morning drop off -- 7:25-7:50 a.m.
Afternoon dismissal -- After 2:55 p.m. Last period ends at 2:45 p.m. Buses depart at 2:55 p.m. At that time, cars may enter campus for pick up.
Technology
AMSA has a new student information system called PowerSchool. All families have been sent access information and introduction materials.
AMSA teachers use classroom chromebooks at their discretion. AMSA does not give devices out to students to take home and does not allow home devices to be used on campus. Homework is typically done using Google Classroom, research on the web, and word processing. We recommend that your student have a working computer or tablet at home to complete their homework. Any device with internet access is sufficient. If you plan to purchase technology over the summer, our partner Dell has a special page for AMSA with frequent discounts: www.dell.com/mpp/AMSACS.
Any parent or student with technical issues can email our help desk at ITDepartment@amsacs.org.
