Dept. of Education Mask Guidelines

• Student masking:  Indoor mask mandate for all students, no matter vaccination status.  Masks can be removed when walking between buildings during passing time or if a teacher takes students outside for a brief mask break. 

• Bus:  Mask mandate on buses at all times per federal regulations

• Lunch:  6th grade students will be split into two locations during lunchtime and will be socially distanced while they eat.  All other students will eat lunch in the cafeterias as usual.  Students must wear their masks in the cafeterias when they are not consuming food.  Seniors may eat outside as a senior privilege. 

• Sports:  Students and adults participating in outdoor sports are not required to wear masks.  Students and adults participating in indoor sports are required to wear masks. 

• Clubs:  Clubs will run as usual.  Students and adults participating in clubs must wear masks unless the meeting is being held outdoors. 

• Adult:  All adults will wear a mask when working with students indoors regardless of their vaccination status. 

• Visitors:  All school visitors must wear a mask while inside the buildings.

AMSA continues to follow state COVID-19 safety guidelines.

Our Health Office follows state guidance regarding close contacts, quarantine, testing etc. 

If students are in quarantine, they will be able to attend class via Zoom until they can return in-person.

Per state guidance, if students participate for at least half of the school day, they will be marked present for the day.  If they are symptomatic and not feeling well enough to Zoom, there's no pressure to attend.

We will work with families individually through the entire process as needed.
