English Language Learners (ELL)

The AMSA English Language Learners Program of Sheltered English Instruction provides specialized instruction for students according to their level of need depending on the integrated setting. Sheltered English Instruction means that students study the same subjects and material as their peers, but with simplified language and with audio-visual material presented in a comprehensible manner. Lessons and activities are designed so the English language development of the student is addressed. Student progress is regularly reviewed and reported to parents/guardians.
