Selena Quintanilla was born in Lake Jackson Texas, on April 16th 1971. She was a singer, the queen of Musica Tejana. She started her career with the help of her siblings. They created a band together the three of them. At 18, she decided she would form a solo career. The following years she made 6 albums and she got married to the guitarist of her band, Chris Perez. Selena's songs are all about love and lies. Her songs show people that they should live life to the fullest because you only live once. Selena has inspired many women because she has broken many barriers in her career. Musica Tejano is majority music made by men. Selena broke the barrier for herself and changed the future for many women.

Selena Quintanilla nació en Lake Jackson Texas, el 16 de Abril 1971. Fue cantora, ella es la reina de la música tejana. Empezó su carrera con la ayuda de sus hermanos, crearon una banda entre los tres. Se fue a una carrera solo a los 18 años. En los próximos años hizo 6 albums y se casó con el guitarrista de su banda, Chris Perez. Las canciones de Selena son sobre el amor y también la traición. Las canciones de ella les enseña a la gente que conozcan su valor y que sean felices porque solo tienen una vida.
