Massachusetts Law on Sports-Related Concussions

Massachusetts law requires schools to protect student-athletes from the risks of sports-related concussions. If a student shows signs or symptoms of a concussion during practice or a game, they must be removed from play immediately and cannot return until medically cleared. Families are required to inform the school of any concussion sustained outside of school and to complete all required safety forms each year.

This law helps ensure early recognition, proper medical care, and safe return-to-play procedures so we can prioritize student health and long-term well-being. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our student-athletes healthy and safe.
