What You Need to Know

Solar Eclipse Viewing Party - AMSA's Society of Women Engineers club is hosting a solar eclipse viewing party after school Monday from 3-3:45 p.m. outside the main entrance to the Lower School. There will be solar eclipse themed snacks and refreshments, as well as UV protected glasses for safe viewing. Please discuss with your children the serious risk of permanent eye damage from looking directly at the sun during the eclipse. Be aware that dismissal procedures may take longer than usual on Monday and athletic schedules are being adjusted (see calendar below).

Lower School Balance Day 2024

Last Friday, 6th & 7th graders enjoyed a visiting pet therapy dog, friendship bracelets, board games, movies, video games, Legos, Origami, open gym time, and more!

Varsity Math Team Places Third at MAML

AMSA's varsity math team placed third in the small school division at the Massachusetts Association of Mathematics Leagues (MAML). Varsity team members were Manraaj Singh, Akhil Divi, Richard Yan, Marrio Jeyakumar, Mark Furman, and Annabella Kalina. The result qualified the team for the New England Association of Mathematics Leagues (NEAML) on Friday, April 26 at Canton High School.

10th Grade Class Trip - NE Aquarium and Quincy Market

The Class of 2026 is heading to Boston on May 17th, 2026! We will be visiting the New England Aquarium and Simmons Theater to see “Oceans Paradise 3D.”After exploring the aquarium, we will have lunch at Quincy Market before returning to AMSA. Looking for VOLUNTEER Hours?

If you are in grade 8 or above and looking for VOLUNTEER hours, the Registrar's office needs help with the following: Tour Guides (4/25, 5/9 and 5/16, 3:15 to 4:30 p.m.) and Incoming Student Placement Testing (4/30, 3-6 p.m.). 7th Grade Kimball Farm Field Trip - May 10

Join the Seventh Grade class on Friday, May 10th for a day of fun at Kimball Farm! Students will have a chance to play mini-golf, volleyball, ride bumper-boats and bumper cars, and practice their golf skills on the driving range. In addition to lunch, Kimball Farms will provide each student with some of their famous ice cream, a perfect treat for Spring! The Quill Is Open for Submissions

The Quill is AMSA’s annual Literary and Creative Magazine that showcases the talents of you -- AMSA students from every grade. If you’ve never seen it, take a look at last year’s edition or archives of previous editions. We encourage you to submit your writing, artwork, digital media, or photography to thequill@amsacs.org to be included in the 2023-2024 edition! Include your name, grade, and the title of your work.
