AMSA's Amnesty International Club is hosting a Students vs. Teachers Basketball Tournament. The purpose of the event will be to have fun and to raise funds for Amnesty International and the United Nations World Food Program. The Tournament will be on Wednesday 3/27 after school in Forekicks from 3:00-5:45. Students in GRADES 9-12 that want to participate in the tournament can sign up as a team of 3 for $12 ($4 per person). more info

The Spring Sports Try-Out/Week 1 schedule can be found here. Please note the following: Student-athletes who need to store athletic equipment should do so in the storage container outside of the PE room in the Lower School (near the wood chips/flagpole). Track & Field for Middle School-aged students will begin on Monday 3/25. If you are a middle school student but received a Varsity letter last spring, you will begin on Monday 3/18. All student-athletes who wish to participate this spring need to have an updated physical on file with the nurse. Any physical exam dated prior to 2/18/23 has expired. Session 3 of AMSA Fencing begins on Friday 3/22 and will run each Friday 3:15-4:30 p.m. through 5/17 in the Lower School Cafeteria. The cost is $175.00 for the session. Fencing is open to all AMSA students in Grades 6 through 12. No previous experience is necessary. We are a foil-based club, which allows us to instruct and teach all levels of the enjoyable sport of fencing. Sign up here.

The Quill is AMSA’s annual Literary and Creative Magazine that showcases the talents of you -- AMSA students from every grade. If you’ve never seen it, take a look at last year’s edition or archives of previous editions. We encourage you to submit your writing, artwork, digital media, or photography to thequill@amsacs.org to be included in the 2023-2024 edition! Include your name, grade, and the title of your work.

Two teams from AMSA’s Science Bowl club advanced to the championship round of the Northeast Regional Science Bowl on Feb. 24 at UConn. Seeded 11th and 16th, they went head-to-head against other high school teams, answering fast-paced questions on biology, chemistry, earth science, energy, math and physics.
