The Fiber Arts Club will hold its first meeting on Thursday, Oct. 5, 3:00-4:00 p.m. in room 502. In this club students learn the art of needle felting in 2D, 3D and some basic sewing skills. Each month will cover a new subject theme and students will be able to take their work home after completing each project. Any questions, please contact Ms. Makynen at email@example.com.
AMSA’s Annual Trunk or Treat will be held October 20th from 5:00 to 6:30pm. It is open to all young members of the community from any town. We need AMSA’s help with candy donations (box in the upper school office), volunteering during the event, and running trunks for kids to visit! High schoolers! Join us for our Homecoming Dance! “Roll the dice” and join our casino theme night at the Maynard Elks (34 Powder Mill Rd, Maynard) on Saturday October 21st from 7-10pm. Snacks and pizza will be served. Tickets are $20 each on MySchoolBucks! Tickets will not be sold at the door so please be sure to order online! Deadline to purchase tickets is October 18. Dress attire is semi formal. Outside guests will only be permitted if there's space available, which will be determined as we approach the event. If allowed, outside guests will need paper permission slips signed and turned into Ms. Sepe at least the day before the dance - otherwise they will be turned away.
AMSA is offering a tour of Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School on Thursday, Oct. 26 for 8th graders who live in Berlin, Hudson, Marlborough, Maynard, Northborough, Southborough, or Westborough. The 8th Grade Field Trip will be heading to Boundless Adventures in Berlin, MA, on Wednesday, October 25th! Participants will be given the opportunity to traverse different ropes courses of varying difficulty with their classmates. During this time, they will work together to overcome challenges, inspire each other and leave with a better understanding of themselves and their peers. details

The AMSA Peer Mediation program is now up and running. These incredible students have trained for three full school days to take on the tough jobs of mediating their fellow classmates' conflicts starting in grades 6-10.
