Staff Notes: Ms. Murphy Presents at Conference
In early December, Ms. Murphy (History Dept.) presented at the National Council for the Social Studies Annual Conference, held in Philadelphia. She was selected to present a session called, "A New Facet of Republican Motherhood: New Stories of Women in the American Revolution" and a poster session called "Goodbye Memorization, Hello Application and Evaluation: Engaging Assessments for Middle School."
Held each year, the NCSS annual conference brings together over 5,000 educators and education leaders from around the country to learn new techniques, receive classroom materials, share best practices, connect with other educators, and learn about the latest research related to teaching the social studies.
