Actor Behzad Dabu Speaks to Class

12th graders in Ms. Richardson’s and Ms. Johnson’s Contemporary Voices classes had the special opportunity to talk with Behzad Dabu, a leading actor in Ayad Akhtar's Pulitzer Prize winning play Disgraced. He played the character of Hussein/Abe during the play's premier in Chicago and worked with Akhtar on revising the play during and after that run. The play addresses race, religion, and power structures of contemporary American society. This is the third time Mr. Dabu has spoken to students online after they've read the play. He gave them incredible insights both about the play and acting in general!  https://www.behzaddabu.com/
