Art History Students Turn Campus Into Street Art Gallery

Ms. Cloutman’s 9th-11th grade art students turned the campus into a Street Art gallery this week! The class has been studying art history in a project-based manner to understand how social/political movements affect art, and visa-versa. Over the course of the year they have made artwork that demonstrates Baroque, Rococo, Impressionist, Cubist, and other important styles. Having reached contemporary art, their outdoor pieces explore Street Artists like Banksy and how the medium can be a tool for social commentary or political statements.
