Congratulations to AMSA Athletic Director Pete Jones for being honored with the Richard E. Lewis Award from the Mass. Secondary Schools Athletic Directors' Assoc.! This award is presented to an Athletic Director who demonstrates dedication and commitment to interscholastic athletics.
We in the ASMA community know very well how tirelessly Mr. Jones works for our student-athletes and AMSA’s highly regarded athletic program. It is great to see his contributions to the school and interscholastic athletics recognized at the state level.
From the MSSADA: “This award will be presented to an individual who embodies the virtues of an outstanding, model athletic administrator. An individual who was recognized by their colleagues for his/her continued support and guidance of others in the profession. In addition, this individual is someone who encourages new individuals into the profession as an athletic director, as well as fosters others to continue to grow in their roles as an athletic administrator. Someone who fully supports the athletic administration profession and all that it encompasses, through his/her work at the league, district and state level.”
That sums up Mr. Jones to a tee. Congratulations on this much-deserved honor!
