Unusual times lead to creative innovations, and this includes The AMSA Drama Society. The Drama Society held a "Driveway Choir" in an AMSA parking lot, and they were able to record all of the vocals for the singing portion of Disney's Frozen KIDS.
The Drama Society is performing the musical by pre-recording it and putting the audio file together with the video (since it is impossible to perform a musical live from multiple locations due to lag). They were able to use a mixing system, while all in their own cars (and a few students socially distancing outside) and microphones, to get the feel of singing together (since they were able to hear each other through their radios). They were able to get "together" and just park their cars with the windows up in range to the radio antenna.
The Denney family (who have been featured in the New York Times and CBS Boston), provided the expertise, enthusiasm, and equipment to help them out.
They encourage everyone to join one of the video streams of the performance either on Friday, April 30th at 7:00 P.M., or on Saturday, May 1st at 3:00 P.M. or 7:00 P.M.
This video is a sneak preview of some of the talent and innovation used in putting together this show.
