The Indoor Track Team participated at the Rising Championship meet at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston last night.
The following students performed well and obtained personal bests: Marissa Vinkels (class record) and Alexis Libby in the 55 meter, Salma Menkari in the High Hurdles, Sharlene Kubo in the shot put, and Ava Georger in the one mile. On the boy’s side, Josh Thomas in the 55 meters (class record), Owen Manning in the high hurdles (class record), Nolan Maxwell (class record) and 6th grader Gabriel Torres (class record) in the 1000 meter.
The boys 4 by 4 209 meter relay team who was seeded 15th placed 5th overall and received medals. The team was made up of Zach Barton, Dan Whittier, Josh Thomas, and Malachie Brunache. The top performer recognition goes to 8th grader Aysha Silva who placed 3rd overall in the shot put and broke our school record with a throw of 29’6”.
