Physics Drop Test

Terminal Velocity is the constant speed that a freely falling object eventually reaches when falling through air (or another fluid). The question is whether a coffee filter laden with paper clips can reach Terminal Velocity in the Upper School lobby. Mr. Stonebraker’s AP Physics students tried to find the answer, experimenting with different heights and paper clip amounts in hopes of achieving the perfect balance between air resistance and weight.
