Remembering Lives Lost From Drug Overdose

8th graders placed 2,200 purple flags in front of AMSA this week in memory of the more than 2,200 people who lost their lives from drug overdose in Massachusetts last year.

Purple is the official color of International Overdose Awareness Day, which is the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died, and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind.
