Women's Day Conference on March 11

Women's Day Conference on March 11

Dear AMSA Community,

AMSA’s UNICEF Club invites you to its fourth annual Women's Day Conference on March 11, 6:00-9:00 p.m. at The Manor in West Boylston.

UNICEF's Women's Day Conference will celebrate female accomplishments in the workplace and discuss how to combat gender inequality in their careers, with a focus on inspiring young women to take charge in their future jobs. Taking place right after International Women's Day (which is March 8th), it will serve as a way to inform the AMSA community at large about what UNICEF represents when it comes to gender equality and to raise money for the cause.

The Women’s Day Conference isn’t just for women and girls: it’s open to all who are interested in learning about how to build a career for themselves and inspire the next generation.

Entrance fees for adults are $40, and for students they are $35. This fee includes a three-course Italian dinner and the opportunity to hear these prominent guest speakers: Pam Johnston, manager in media, Katherine McCabe, senior vice president in finance, Lysida Santiago, manager in technology, and Maura Webster, CEO and entrepreneur.

The event will also include a silent auction for art pieces done by AMSA students and staff, with all proceeds going to UNICEF, and a panel at the end for guests to ask the speakers any questions they may have.

We sincerely hope you all will consider attending this event, supporting our cause through social media or word of mouth, and bringing any other friends/family members you have.

Best,

AMSA UNICEF
