6th graders embarked on a “human scavenger hunt” to get to know kids they haven’t met yet in their grade. 6th Grade School Counselor Joanna Errico led the activity, saying “We’re a community, we rise up together, we’ll graduate together one day, it’s important to get to know each other.”
Each student was given a sheet listing different people they had to find, such as someone with the same birthday month or someone with a pet dog. This forced them to walk around, ask questions, and most importantly, meet new kids.
Based on the level of conversation in the room, it was a big success!
