We understand that many people will be traveling over the Spring break. We thought it imperative to alert families of the current AMSACS policy for travel as the MA State Travel Advisory continues to change.
- Interstate travel: Though it is no longer required by the State of MA, AMSACS highly recommends that all students traveling out of state PRC test within 72 hours of returning to MA. If COVID test results are negative, students can return to school.
- Out of Country Travel: All students traveling out of the United States will need to quarantine for 7 days. Another option is to PCR test on day number four (4) of your quarantine which is the 4th day of your return to MA. If results are negative, students may return to school. Parents of students traveling outside of the U.S should communicate with our COVID-9 Nurse, Maureen Searl. All testing results can be emailed to email@example.com.
We are aware of two mutated COVID-19 viruses circulating and many people are getting vaccinated. Our travel advisory is based on providing safety for all staff and students. We have a very effective remote learning program available to all students who need to quarantine/isolate. We encourage any student experiencing COVID symptoms before or after their return to MA to remain home. Travelers who are fully vaccinated (i.e. who have received two doses of either the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines OR who have received a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, 14 days or more ago) and who do not have symptoms are exempt.
