Fencing

AMSA Fencing is open to all AMSA students in Grades 6 through 12. No previous experience is necessary. The club will run for three sessions, allowing students to join other sports and activities throughout the year. We are a foil-based club, which allows us to instruct and teach all levels of the enjoyable sport of fencing. At this time, we are structured like an intramural program as we do not compete with other schools. As students' skills grow, we will be introducing electric fencing as well. Additional information is below regarding the dates of the sessions.

Grades: 6-12

Advisor: Ms. Jagielski

Meets: Fridays 3:15-4:30 p.m.

Location: Lower School Cafeteria

Dues: $175 per session

Ms. Jagielski of our AMSA Science Department is the instructor of the club. As a member of the USA Fencing Association, she has years of experience as a competitor at Guilford High School (CT) and as an assistant to Jack Mullarkey of 3MB fencing.

Instructions to register for AMSA Fencing are below. Each Session will be capped at 25 students. You do not need prior fencing experience and you can opt in or out of each session.
